The Blue Ridge Poison Center (BRPC) provides general poison information and poison management advice to over 2.3 million residents in 54 counties and 48 hospitals of Central and Western Virginia. The BRPC is staffed by trained nurse specialists in poison information, six Medical Toxicologists and a Toxicology Fellow. All calls are free and confidential.

In 2009, the ASPCA’s Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) in Urbana, IL, handled more than 140,000 cases of pets exposed to toxic substances, many of which included everyday household products. A $65 consultation fee may be applied to your credit card.
