Wellness exams:
A wellness physical exam at GVH will include the following:
- Weight, temperature, pulse and respiratory rate
- Toe nail trim
- Overall health evaluation – eyes, ears, skin, coat, joints and bodyweight evaluation
- Diet and nutrition evaluation
- Heart and lung exam
- Dental health – critically important as dental infections can affect all other aspects of your pets’ well being
- Diagnostic procedures such as blood chemistries to evaluate organ function may be indicated and are recommended for geriatric pets.
Senior exams:
A comprehensive geriatric exam complete with our recommended “Geriatric Diagnostic Work Up” enables us to evaluate your pet’s aging process and detect age related health conditions. With early detection your veterinarian can determine how best to extend and improve the quality of life for your pet.
Sick pet exams:
If you’re concerned that your pet may be ill we will provide you with our earliest available appointment. The sick pet exam includes all the evaluations of the wellness exam and additional diagnostic procedures will be added as determined by the veterinarian.
EMERGENCY:
In the unfortunate event of an emergency we will do our very best to accommodate your pets’ needs upon arrival. If possible, even a small amount of advance notice will allow us to prepare for your arrival and provide the utmost in prompt, professional care.
